Alex Mitchell is an award winning Director of Photography based in Phoenix Arizona.  Known for his easy going personality, attention to detail and passion for the craft, Alex has been successfully shooting for over 25 years.  Alex is a talented visionary and storyteller, a blend of both creative & technical aspects of production.

With 9 year roots of working staff at 2 of Arizona’s largest production companies, Alex has been a freelance DP/Cameraman since 2003.  He has traveled to multiple countries on projects and throughout the US for ad agencies and production companies creating content for ESPN, History Channel, Travel Channel, National Geographic, Discovery Channel, NFL Network, Ford, Jaguar, Toyota, Intel, PING, PXG, University of Phoenix, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, all the sports franchises in Arizona, and many, many more…

Highly experienced shooting dynamic visual commercial/branding campaigns, corporate film, promos, documentaries and broadcast shows.  Always loves a challenge and dips his toes into Narrative, the occasional Music Video and some diverse Web Content.  Very comfortable working with Ad Agencies, Production Companies, and direct with clients of all types.  Enjoys collaboration on all levels.

Arizona native, Cum Laude graduate from Arizona State University and Eagle Scout at the age of 13!  Luckily married up to an amazing woman and proud father of 3 active teenagers.  Exciting times!
